To begin with teens are chronicling everything. Parties, vacations, meals, there’s nothing too banal in the always-on world. No detail is too small, no conversation unimportant. It’s all there and all recorded. As a consequence, much of what would have previously been considered “living” is now fodder for the torrent of shareable information. So is there any part of life that’s out of bounds, that’s not shared? For most young people there are limits and boundaries. But for the lonely, the vulnerable and the insecure, the attention and sometimes praise that comes with posting revealing photos can be irresistible.
